Diet and exercise need to be done together to achieve maximum results. There are so many different diets and people trying to tell you how to lose weight and get in shape it is hard to know who or what to believe. It can all be so confusing you may want to just forget about the whole thing.

You can go to your public library and look for books on losing weight, exercise, nutrition, and fitness. Just because a book was written ten years ago or longer doesn’t mean it can’t help you today. You can also go online and search for information, but make sure you are getting it from a reliable source. Sometimes people write about dieting when they have no knowledge or experience on the subject.
The most important thing is to decide on a program that will work for you and get started right away. I like diet and exercise plans that do not require any specialized exercise equipment or many hours of meal preparation. Moderation is key when starting a new diet. I know that eliminating sugar and dairy from my diet works for me. Those foods keep me bloated and make me tired. Figure out what foods are best for you to avoid. I also find that exercising early in the morning works well for me. I walk or ride an exercise bike before I eat breakfast.
