BASICS
- Most dried herbs achieve the highest potency in a water base. In this case an infusion or tea is called for.
- When making tinctures in glycerin or alcohol bases it is generally best to use fresh plant matter. However, dried roots and barks can also be used to make tinctures.
- When picking fresh herbs, try to pick them at their peak and after the morning dew has dried.
